Microflite Aviation Makes History with First Gogo Galileo HDX Installation in Oceania

January 27, 2026

Microflite Aviation has become the first operator in Oceania to install and activate Gogo Galileo HDX, and the first PC-12 globally to fly with the system. The system delivers next-generation broadband connectivity optimized for business and mission aviation, enhancing operational efficiency, situational awareness, and in-flight productivity.

Activated in early December 2025, the HDX connectivity system—marks a significant milestone not only for Microflite, but also for the broader APAC aviation community. The achievement builds on more than a decade of Gogo, previously Satcom Direct (SD), connectivity serving Oceania.

For over 10 years, Gogo inflight connectivity solutions have supported mission-critical and charter operations across Oceania, delivering reliable communications in some of the world’s most demanding operating environments. From private business jets to executive charter, connectivity has evolved from a convenience into an operational necessity.

The introduction of Gogo Galileo HDX represents the next step in that evolution—bringing high-performance connectivity to aircraft operating across Australia and the wider region.

The installation was completed on a Pilatus PC-12. Based at Moorabbin Airport, Victoria, the aircraft supports both charter and mission

The PC-12’s versatility makes it an ideal platform for advanced connectivity, ensuring flight crews and passengers alike benefit from seamless communications—whether operating into metropolitan hubs or remote regions.

A key contributor to the success of this program was Five Rings Aerospace, Microflite’s reseller and design organization partner. Five Rings Aerospace developed a Local Engineering Order specifically for the Gogo Galileo HDX and SDRG installation, enabling a compliant, efficient, and regionally optimized integration.
